Bittenbender Construction served as the construction manager & General Contractor for the relocation and renovation of the Congreso Health Clinic. Through a partnership between Public Health Management Corporations and the client, the new Congreso Health Center provides primary health care, health promotion and wellness services in the West Kensington neighborhood. The project required a fast-track schedule and a layered project approach with the owner, business users, design professionals and construction team. The work allowed for expansion space for the clinic and includes exam rooms, lab, triage and team huddle/work space. The design included finishes and spacial arranges to resemble a spa atmosphere which challenged the traditional design approach to clinical space. The innovative direction required careful consideration to quality, durability and cost.
