Located in Rittenhouse Square, 1830 Rittenhouse is a 100+ year old building and the first high rise constructed on the Square in 1912. The Beau Arts building, although quite exquisite on the exterior, required new HVAC systems, new PECO service originating from 19th & Rittenhouse, new transformer and switch gear, electrical panels, and distribution to each of the building’s condo units while maintaining access and power to all units. The completion of these upgrades required repurposing an abandoned elevator shaft to construct ten new electrical rooms and install of the new electrical riser.
The historic lobbies on each floor were renovated to allow the installation of new HVAC equipment and electrical feeds. This work allowed the team to return the base building elements to their former grandeur.
