Bittenbender Construction served as the General Contractor for the latest addition to the Comcast Tower’s dining amenities. The 6th Floor Atrium underwent a renovation to improve the spaces overall functionality. Scope of work included the demolition of the existing food service pantry, patch and refinish of the existing terrazzo floor, and furnish and install infrastructure including millwork, plumbing and electric for the new Starbucks Coffee bar.
The highlight of the new space was the furnish and install of a custom-built millwork pergola. The new space now features expansive seating for employees to work, gather, and meet – from booths to break out tables. All work completed on a second shift with extensive coordination based on an in-floor tube heating system.
