Bittenbender Construction served as the General Contractor for renovation and improvements of the 2nd floor at the Paul Peck Problem Solving Building (PSB). At the time the campus was experiencing exceptional growth and looking for ways to improve it’s current buildings. The Paul Peck PSB was the perfect candidate. The layout and mechanical systems were improved to house seven (7) general classrooms, the Study Abroad office, the St. Katherine Drexel Chapel, and Newman Director’s office. The entire floor was demolished to the perimeter walls. New walls, ceilings, finishes, HVAC equipment, ductwork, and lighting were installed. The second-floor renovation was completed in conjunction with a Drexel University run mechanical and fire alarm upgrade of the entire building.
