Bittenbender Construction, LP served as the General Contractor for the expansion of the Korman Center, located at the heart of the University’s campus. Improvements included an addition designed by internationally recognized architect – Gluckman Tang Architects – that enhanced the 1958 building by creating gracious, double-height student lounge and study space that extends onto the quad. The newly named Korman Quadrangle which was designed by Andropogan Associates underwent extensive landscaping, hardscaping and lighting improvements to unify the campus buildings surrounding the quad. This $11.9 million project was completed on time and on budget while the building was fully occupied – both by students and Drexel’s mission-critical data center.
